Dear Community,

Today we bring you another update with the current state of affairs as we continue to rework the server into a more balanced and stable environment for everyone to enjoy. There is a few topics for us to go over including some new systems and a boost in our artistic value due to some talented effort from a new friend we have had the pleasure of working with recently.

So, it is with a great amount of excitement that we now officially had an artist design a brand new logo, banner and artwork for our server which will be added soon. Together with the changes that we made to the layout of our website and the constant adaptations to make our domain a tad more appealing to the eye, it is hard to say that we have yet to progress in that field.

With this, a special thank you goes out to the artist Mio for their amazing effort and cooperation. If anyone is interested in their art, you can find a link to their instagram here.

Now, on to the practical stuff rather than the new fluff. Whenever we see that things might be getting a tad out of hand it is our task to make sure that balance is restored once more, hence why we have taken another look at our current smithing system and come to the conclusion that it was outdated to say the least. We hope to of brought a system to life that will make the artisan craft a tad more realistic and fair. See smithing & gunsmithing.

There is something else that we would like to mention namely the new system for movement speed. Due to the everlasting amount of events and combat a balanced pace is necessary as it would not be logical for every race to be as fast as the other. These new movement rules will apply to any scenario from now on so please do make sure to check out the updated conditions to stay “up to speed”.

Of course, we are still working on many changes in good hopes for the place where we all come in order to relax. We will release more information about our upcoming changes to voting in the nearby future once we have hammered out the system we desire. We have decided to turn this wall into something more informative and frequent than what it used to be. We all love our inspiring words from Ranger, but this front page will now be meant to keep you up to speed with the things that we are working on for you guys to make sure that you are aware of the changes Alaurin will make. If you have any suggestions for our next post, please make sure to let us know.

This past week, we have created a brand new staff role: the DM. These guys will be ensuring that everyone's DM requests will be completed with haste - when it comes to crafting, bounties, or anything else of the like, those holding this new position will be your go-to. Furthermore, this change frees up the time of ET members (who were previously juggling DMing too), ensuring that they're able to have even more time to craft events and storylines for you guys to enjoy.

As for lore, we've recently gone through a number of changes. This past week, we've gotten every lore piece onto the forums - now, if it exists, it's there for all to see. JKB is working on a wonderful guide on the various Gods and Deities of the realm, along with those who play them - simply contact these staff members, and you'll be able to have divine interactions yourself. The staff team is also going back through our various magics, races, and so forth, revamping things and making them accessible to everyone. The vampire lore is the fruit of said labour.

On a different note, there will be some changes happening when it comes to voting as we want to make the server as accessible to everyone as we can. Not only will we be branching out onto more sites than just planetmincraft alone, but the rewards system will be reworked into something more fruitful than what it was previously. The general idea is that every month there will be a dynamic set of rewards that will vary each month. For every seven days of voting for every working link, you will unlock a certain reward. More information on this will follow soon, as we are planning to implement this change by the next voting reset.

And last but not least, to make sure that those new incoming pathfinders can settle in with all the necessary comfort and assistance, we will make minor tweaks and adjustments to the whitelist application and invite more people to officially help us as “Player Support” members. They will assist anyone who needs a support, some knowledge or wishes to file a complaint. We are always open to hear from anyone interested to aid us with this position. Apart from this, we hope that everyone does enjoy their stay here. We are really trying to make this server as pleasant of an experience as we can. Should there be anything that you might wish to let us know, feedback is key to success as time has proven many times again. Hey everyone, just your local Ranger coming to you today with a New Years message.

I would like to start off by thanking everyone for everything they have done. Inviting friends, writing lore, running events, and participating on this wonderful server. Its truly been another awesome experience!

2018 was filled with many ups and downs, not only for me personally but for the server as well. We started with our first restart, which went okay, then another, and finally this one. After a final, big push from everyone- we where able to bring her back. The great server of Alaurin-Roleplay. And i'm truly glad we've been able to do this. I think everyone can agree with me here that this go around, is much, much different. There is a stronger sense of happiness, and a wholesome feeling to the server.  I think, after Alaurins last go around everyone has realized that nothing will last forever. Which is very important to me. One day obviously this server will be gone, and i'll be terribly sad, but i'm so very happy that we decided to keep fighting!

Overall server wise, its been wonderful. Roleplay continues to pick up in SeaGuard, Elutheria, and the small Halfling outpost. Things are truly happy, and going at a wonderful pace :)

We're working on lots of things behind the scenes as well! Right now, I have two very, very large plugins being made. One that i'm extremely excited for will incorporate seasons, calendars, weather, climates, and crops. All into one big plugin. The goal is to give more of a realistic medieval feeling and an actual need for farmers and such. This will later leave to a wonderul brewing plugin that will be incorporated all into one big system to help create a better realistic feeling for Roleplay. But don't worry, we're not going to make it too hard. ;)
